My business, Part-Time PA is a small business supporting families, individuals and small businesses with ad hoc administrative and organisational support. I am committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how personal information you provide to me will be handled, whether online, via phone, email, in letters or in any other correspondence.

This policy (together with my terms of use and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data I collect from you, or that you provide to me, will be processed by me.

Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018) and UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)

I, Rosalyn Scott, am a “data controller” under the Data Protection Act 2018 and I shall endeavour to ensure that the personal information I obtain and use will always be held, used, transferred, and otherwise processed in accordance with that Act and all other applicable data protection laws and regulations. 

 

Information I may collect from you 

I may collect and process the following data about you:-

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on my site www.rosalynscott.com.  This includes information provided at the time of registering to use my site, subscribing to my service, enquiring products or services (such as publications and email newsletters) or requesting further information. 
  • I may also ask you for information when you enter a competition or promotion sponsored by the my business, and when you report a problem with my site. 
  • If you contact me, I may keep a record of that correspondence. 
  • I may also ask you to complete surveys that I use for feedback and research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them. 
  • Details of your visits to my site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, web logs and other communication data and the resources that you access. 
  • By submitting personal data manually or in electronic form to this website, or by using this site, you give your consent that all personal data you submit may be processed in the manner and for the purposes described below. 
  • If you do nothing other than read pages or download information while using this web site, I will capture and store information about your visit. This information will not identify you, it relates to;-

 

  1. the Internet domain and IP address from which you access the web site 
  2. the type of browser and operating system you use
  3. the date and time of your visit
  4. the pages you visit, and;
  5. the address of the website from which you linked to us (if applicable). 

 

I will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although I will do my best to protect your personal data, I cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to my site; any transmission is at your own risk. 

 

Uses made of the information 

I use information held about you in the following ways: 

  • To ensure that content from my site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer. 
  • To provide you with information, in particular about my services that you request from me or which I feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes. 
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of my service when you choose to do so. For administration purposes and to notify you about changes to my service.  
  • To maintain and administer my business database and systems.

 

Disclosure of your information 

I may need to share your information with my service providers, associated organisations, and agents for certain purposes. I may share your information with other organisations who are supportive of my aims and objectives. 

I only use your personal information for direct marketing purposes if I are allowed to do this by law or if I have your consent. You can change your mind at any time by contacting me at the address appearing at the end of this policy. 

 

I do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to my advertisers, but I may provide them with aggregate information about my users (for example, I may inform them that 100 women aged under 30 have clicked on to my website on any given day). I may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers help me reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in NE1). 

 

If I am under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply my terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of myself, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction. 

 

Users 16 years and under

If you are aged 16 or under, please get your parent/guardian’s permission beforehand whenever you provide personal information to my website.  I am sorry but users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information. 

 

Your rights 

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. I will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if I intend to use your data for such purposes or if I intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms I use to collect your data. You can also exercise the right at any time by contacting us at the address appearing at the end of this policy. 

 

My site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of my partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that I do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

 

Changes to my privacy policy 

Any changes I may make to my privacy policy in the future will be posted on my website and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail. 

 

Access to information 

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet my costs in providing you with details of the information I hold about you so please email me at roz.ptpa@gmail.com
